UAE reduces commission fees for entrepreneurs

The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has reduced the fees for 14 main and sub-services as of January 1st, 2023. The move aligns with the objectives of Make in the Emirates Initiative to create an attractive business environment for local and international investors and support entrepreneurship in the industrial sector by reducing the cost of business operations in the UAE.

Discounts on fees cover the Emirates Quality Mark license (a decrease from AED26,000 to 2,000), the national Halal mark (a decrease from AED18,000 to 2,000) and others. Besides, MoIAT abolished the fee for selling the UAE standards. The Ministry says that the reduction of the fees in the Year of Sustainable Development will foster the development of sustainable industries by introducing advanced technologies.
