The opportunities of the KIZAD Industrial Zone were presented to the entrepreneurs of Business Russia

On September 15, an online presentation of the opportunities provided by the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) was held. The advantages of one of the most advanced industrial zones in the UAE were presented to the members of Business Russia by the Director Commercial of KIZAD Mr. Khalid Al Marzooqi. The event was arranged by the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov and was held in the lead up to a business mission of Russians companies to the United Arab Emirates.

As it was mentioned in the welcoming address by the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov, the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) lies in the area of focused attention of the entrepreneurs representing the business association. The strategic location, accessible and diverse infrastructure, and optimal conditions for running business – all that makes the KIZAD zone as attractive as possible for the development of Russian business in the Emirati market.

Maksim Zagornov notes: "We are now working intensively on the issue of creating a production site of Business Russia on the territory of KIZAD. The pool of companies that are open to the opportunity of entering into the area of this Free Zone has already been formed, and they are ready to develop business consolidating their efforts. Genuinely unique opportunities provided by the KIZAD Industrial Zone to their residents are among the major stimuli for the implementation of this project".

The Director Commercial of KIZAD Khalid Al Marzooqi emphasized that the United Arab Emirates today is a point of attraction for entrepreneurs from all over the world. Mr. Khalid Al Marzooqi notes: "And we see a great future in the field of cooperation with the companies of Business Russia. We have extensive plans".

Valeria Grabovskaya, a commercial expert of the Industrial Zone, provided further details on the opportunities and advantages of KIZAD. She noted that KIZAD today, as part of the AD PORTS Group, is one of the fastest growing ecosystems in the world. Valeria Grabovskaya says: "KIZAD unites more than 1,500 companies already. There is a large inflow of companies from Russia as well'.

One of the strategic advantages of the KIZAD zone is its logistical diversity: proximity to the airports, Khalifa deepwater port, major stations of the Etihad Rail – the railway, which is being constructed currently, and three major highways. All that makes KIZAD a convenient platform for the localization of production and organization of export to the UAE, as well as re-export to other countries.

As Valeria Grabovskaya emphasized, a wide range of industrial clusters is developing in KIZAD. Meanwhile, the key industrial sectors are the oil and gas industry, energy, polymer production, metallurgy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industry, automotive industry and automobile trade (there is an Autoterminal in Khalifa port), and logistics.

Today, KIZAD offers the possibility of registering a company both in the Free Zone and in the Mainland. KIZAD provides special preferences for small and medium-sized business companies: a simplified and flexible company registration procedure, prepared infrastructure (warehouses, offices, land plots), state support measures for entrepreneurs, duty-free trade opportunities with GCC and GAFTA countries, multimodal logistics, and support in establishing business contacts.

Valeria Grabovskaya emphasizes: "The development of a business in KIZAD is a sustainable development in a collaborative environment. We will be glad to see the companies of Business Russia among the residents of KIZAD".

At the end of the webinar, the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov thanked the senior management of the KIZAD Industrial Zone for their willingness to cooperate. In addition, he noted that the webinar was held in the lead up to the business mission of Business Russia to the UAE. As part of the business trip, which will take place from September 26 through September 30, Russian entrepreneurs will participate in the WETEX-2022 International exhibition and will also visit the key UAE Free Zones, including the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), to work through specific issues regarding the opening of companies and production facilities in the territory of this Free Zone.
