Once again, Abu Dhabi is recognized as the "smartest city" in the Middle East and North Africa region

The Smart City Index of the Swiss International Institute for Management Development (IMD) evaluates the economic and technological aspects of cities, as well as quality of life, environment and inclusiveness.

Abu Dhabi has been recognized as the "smartest city" in the region according to all three studies conducted since 2020. This year, Abu Dhabi is ranked 13th in the world rating, and Dubai is ranked 17th. Thus, the UAE entered the list of 4 countries to have more than 1 city in the top 20.
