Despite the turbulent environment, 2023 was a productive year for Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, and his team. Let's note the main points.

  • The UAE Trading House has provided support to more than 50 Russian companies in finding potential partners, opening legal entities, organizing personal business missions to the Emirates, and providing support at industry exhibitions.

  • Cooperation with various free economic zones of the UAE has been strengthened, and a cooperation agreement has been signed with one of the largest free economic zones - Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).

  • In June, on the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a Business Russia panel session was organized devoted to industrial clusters in the UAE. Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador to the UAE, acted as moderator.

  • Cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Russia was strengthened, support in organizing several events was provided, and in December a joint business breakfast on agribusiness was held between the Embassy and Business Russia.

  • The team of Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE organized an internship for students of the MBA program of the State University of Management at the Ajman University of Science and Technology. SUM representatives called the internship one of the most successful in the history of the University.

  • With the assistance of the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, the RANEPA training manual on doing business in the Emirates was published. The manual has become a bestseller in a short period of time, and a second printing is planned.

  • In October, Maksim Zagornov gave an open lecture to RANEPA students. More than 4,000 students attended the lecture.

  • At the moment, the team of the business ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE is organizing internships for RANEPA students in Russian and Emirati companies in the UAE. The internship starts on January 15th of the coming year.
