Flying taxis in Dubai

Flying taxis (vertiports) should come around in Dubai by 2026, and the emirate will become the world's first city to have a developed air transport network.

The UAE Vice-President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the news on Twitter.

He also stated that the project was approved at the World Government Summit which is currently taking place in Dubai.

This year, the following issues will be discussed at the Summit under the slogan "Creating the Governments of the Future": economic and social projects, climate change, prospects for the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as other global issues.

Hundreds of ministers, international experts and opinion leaders will take part in the three-day conference. Elon Musk is expected to be one of the main speakers.
