The EAEU and the UAE discussed the regulatory part of the future Free Trade Agreement (FTA)

During the first round of negotiations (March 6-8) the parties identified key parameters to deregulate access of the parties to each other's markets, as stated in the message of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

According to Mikhail Cherekaev, Deputy Director of the EEC Trade Policy Department, the negotiations are planned to be completed by the end of the year.

Actually, the FTA will strengthen the positions of the EAEU exporters in the Persian Gulf region and will contribute to the growth and expansion of the assortment of supplies.

According to the EEC, the bilateral trade volume between the EAEU countries and the UAE in 2015-2021 increased 4 times and reached 6.3 billion dollars.

At the same time, the trade turnover between Russia and the UAE in 2022 amounted to record 9 billion dollars and still continues to grow.
