Business Russia Trade House will open in the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi
One of the key events of the Business Russia's business mission to the UAE was a visit to the Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD). The Director Commercial of KIZAD Khalid Al Marzooqi held a meeting with Russian entrepreneurs. The Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, Maksim Zagornov, presented the concept of the Business Russia Trade House in the UAE, which is scheduled to open on the territory of KIZAD in the near future.
As Maksim Zagornov, the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, noted in the course of the meeting, the interaction of the business association with Abu Dhabi Emirate is developing dynamically now. Business Russia and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement, and there was assembled a set of Russian companies planning export activities to the UAE. The Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) was chosen as the base platform for the implementation of export projects.
«At the moment, we are observing a particular request from Business Russia companies to intensify cooperation with the UAE. Russian business is ready to offer the Emirates innovative technologies and products in a variety of industries. The Business Russia Trade House, which will open in the KIZAD, will provide comprehensive support for bringing our companies to the Emirati market: from the targeted selection of partners to the conclusion of a contract and the delivery and storage of goods», Maksim Zagornov said.
The Director Commercial of KIZAD Khalid Al Marzooqi confirmed that the Khalifa Zone (KIZAD) had a unique transport accessibility. There are direct sea routes from the port of Khalifa to 70 international ports, it is a logistics hub for more than 1,000 sea routes. The railway line will be brought up soon.
«All this makes the Khalifa zone a convenient platform for localization of production or organization of export to the UAE, as well as re-export to other countries», Khalid Al Marzooqi highlighted.
What is more, the opening of the Business Russia Trade House in KIZAD will open up a number of other advantages to the companies of the business association:
- An opportunity to work directly with UAE state customers (KIZAD is a partner of ADNOC oil company);
- A prospect of obtaining a dual license for a work in the domestic market of the UAE and export activities;
- A chance to cooperate with China's companies (the business hub of Chinese companies is located in KIZAD);
- A possibility to obtain the status «Made in the UAE» for goods via localization of production in KIZAD, which ensures duty-free trade throughout the GCC region;
- An opportunity to receive UAE government subsidies (for companies in certain sectors).
At the moment, more than 1,400 companies from different countries of the world are registered in KIZAD. According to Mr. Khalid Al Marzooqi, the main sectors developing in KIZAD are polymer production, metallurgy, food industry, automotive industry, oil and gas industry, logistics, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, energy.
During the meeting, the parties agreed on cooperation in the field of foreign economic activity of Business Russia companies. Khalid Al Marzooqi pledged to assist in organizing the work of the Business Russia Trade House in the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD).
