Business Russia Trade House in the UAE was presented to the Russian business community
On February 17, an online presentation of a new international project of All-Russia Public Organization Business Russia — Business Russia Trade House in the UAE, located on the territory of the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), took place. The event was held in a webinar format with the organizational support of the administration of KIZAD and gathered more than 50 representatives of interested companies from different regions of Russia. The project was presented by Maksim Zagornov, Business Ambassador of Business Russia in the UAE.
As Nonna Kagramanyan, Vice President of Business Russia, noted in her welcoming address, relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates are currently in an active phase, which is proved by the constant growth of trade turnover between our countries: in 2021 it reached a record level and amounted to over $5 billion. «Business Russia is in the spotlight of this inter-country dialogue. I am sure that a new initiative — Business Russia Trade House in the UAE — will open up new horizons for Russian companies in the Emirati market», Nonna Kagramanyan stressed.
Mr. Hamad Rashed Ali Bin Alwan Alhesbi, Deputy head of UAE Embassy, Moscow, addressing the participants of the event, confirmed that Russian-Emirati relations are developing fruitfully. One of the new areas is investment cooperation. «Last year alone, the volume of investments from the UAE amounted to $3.8 billion», Mr. Hamad Rashed Ali Bin Alwan Alhesbi said. The diplomat noted Business Russia's success in the development of investment and trade cooperation and pledged to provide partner support for the organization's projects from the UAE Embassy in Russia.
Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the United Arab Emirates, Andrey Terekhin, also pointed out the increased engagement of the business community of both countries, while stressing that in this process «we are only at the beginning of the path». «The task of the entire business community is to fulfill the accumulated potential of interaction, which is embodied in a great number of established contacts», Andrei Terekhin emphasized. Trade representative also noted a significant role of Business Russia and Business Ambassador of Business Russia in the UAE in creating a climate of trust between Russian and Emirati structures and wished success in the implementation of this new project — Business Russia Trade House in the UAE.
