Business Russia is preparing for a large-scale business mission to the UAE. The strategic goal of this trip will be to further expand the presence of the companies belonging to the business association in the UAE market, to get acquainted with the current situation on the spot, to work through the specific options for opening companies and production facilities in various UAE Free Zones, to participate in the WETEX-2022 exhibition, to get acquainted with the work of the Business Russia Trading House in the UAE, and to establish direct business contacts with the stakeholders
The business mission of Business Russia to the UAE will take place from September 26 through September 30, 2022. The business trip will target the companies from a wide range of industries interested in promptly entering the Emirati market, relocating business to the UAE, and building effective bilateral business ties. The mission will be headed by the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov.
Today, the Emirates has become a No. 1 partner country in the Middle East for Russia. The UAE has officially announced its intention to increase trade and economic cooperation with the Russian Federation, which was confirmed by the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation at a business breakfast with the members of Business Russia on July 13, 2022. The Emirates support the relocation of Russian companies to the UAE and create conditions for the development of innovative projects. Today, more than 40,000 Russian entrepreneurs have moved to the UAE for permanent residency. There goes an active process of registering companies and launching production facilities, including those by the members of Business Russia.
Business Russia has been actively represented in the Emirates for the last 4 years. In the UAE business circles, the business organization has gained a reputation as a solid and reliable body uniting the leading companies of the Russian Federation. During this time, four business missions were conducted, each of which had positive results and assisted the companies belonging to the members of Business Russia in entering the UAE market.
In 2019 and 2021 гг., business missions of Business Russia were held at WETEX- an international exhibition on water treatment technologies, energy technologies and environmental protection. As a result of business trips, a number of companies entered into new agreements and contracts. Thus, MIPT, a participant of the business mission in 2021, with the assistance of Business Russia, has signed an agreement with Khalifa University of Science and Technology and MKC for Power Solutions on the construction of a hydrogen test site in Abu Dhabi. This project is currently being implemented.
The business mission of 2022 will be a logical continuation of the strategy of Business Russia companies' entering the UAE market.
The key event of the business mission-2022 will be the participation in the 24th International Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition WETEX - one of the most globally authoritative exhibitions in this field of expertise. WETEX is held by Dubai Electricity and Water Resources Authority (DEWA) under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the UAE, the Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This year, the exhibition will bring together more than 2,500 exhibitors from 55 countries across the world and will take place at Dubai International Exhibition Center (Dubai) on September 27-29.
At WETEX-2022, Business Russia will present a single stand as part of the Made in Russia general exposition of the Russian Export Center. Members of the business mission will have an opportunity to take part in all the events of the stand's business program, conduct personal b2b negotiations, and present their companies' products to potential partners from the UAE.
Apart from that, the business mission program will include a visit to the most advanced UAE Free Zones - Kizad, Masdar City City, DMCC - in order to work in detail through the issues of opening companies or production facilities on the territory of these Free Zones with the assistance of the Business Russia Trade House in the UAE.
