Business Russia and the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation discuss the 2023 cooperation plans

On January 19, Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov met with the First Secretary, Head of the Department for Trade and Economic Affairs of the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation Ahmed Alshehhi. The parties discussed the cooperation plans of Business Russia and the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation aimed at strengthening business relations between the Russian and Emirati companies.

The meeting was also attended by Maysa Al Saleh Alteneiji, Economics Expert of the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation, Idris Malsagov, Economics Analyst of the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation, Maria Nevolina, Advisor to Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE and Diana Kamaletdinova, Project Manager of the International Cooperation Department of Business Russia.

The parties discussed the cooperation plans of Business Russia and the UAE Embassy in the Russian Federation to strengthen business relations between the Russian and Emirati companies. The Embassy representatives noted that developing business relations remains one of the priorities.

“We plan to strengthen our cooperation in terms of small and medium-sized businesses. We hope that the year of 2023 will be a year of active cooperation between the UAE Embassy in Russia and Business Russia”, - Ahmed Alshehhi emphasized.

The diplomat highly appreciated the work results of Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE Maksim Zagornov and his team; he referred to a large number of events including the business missions and exhibitions held in 2022, as well as the three business breakfasts with the participation of the Russian companies.

Maksim Zagornov told about Business Russia's plans aimed at strengthening business cooperation with the UAE. The business ambassador noted that today new opportunities appear not only for the Russian companies in the UAE market, but also for the UAE companies in Russia.

The parties discussed also the arrangements for one of the most significant business events of the year - the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The event will be held on June 14-17 in St. Petersburg, the UAE will be the guest country of SPIEF-2023.
